Maggoty toes

Dreams seem to be coming quick and fast recently. The one I experienced a few days ago wasn't particularly a nice one but thankfully it was short.

What I remember was a maggot munching on the toe next to my pinky on my left foot, let me stress here how much I hate maggots, they are one of the few things that make me squeamish. I was too freaked out to pick it off and flick it to hell but along came my Mom and said "Don't worry! It's just an ephemera!" and then removed it. That's where the dream ended.

Now according to dream moods a maggot symbolizes "your anxieties about death. It may also be indicative of some issue or problem that you have been rejecting and it is now "eating away" at you. You need to confront it for it is destroying your sense of harmony and balance", fairly straight forward, in addition to this the symbolism of toes (in this case wounded) "that you are feeling anxious about moving forward with some pan or decision". All of these things are quite true, finding a job after graduation has been preying on my mind for quite a while now.

What comforts me is the fact my Mom in this dream said the maggot was just an "ephemera". Now I'd heard this word being used before but I couldn't recall what it specifically meant. Ephemera oddly enough means a "things that exist or are used or enjoyed for only a short time", which would suggest that my worries will be shortly lived and quickly removed.

It's very strange how words can be swimming in your subconscious which remembers their meaning whilst your here and now mind does not!

In other news, I've decided to sign up to beginners ballet starting in the fall along with going to the gym at least once a week, I know how depressed I get sitting in my room all the time during the academic year so I'll be trying to stick a new schedule breaking the week up a bit.
